Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026

These terms apply when you hire Terry Turner (“I”, “me”, or “my”) for website development, custom software, WordPress/PHP work, consulting, or related services offered through terryturner.org.

Services

Scope, timeline, deliverables, and fees are agreed in writing before work begins (email is fine). Changes to scope may adjust timeline and cost.

Client responsibilities

You agree to provide timely feedback, content, access, and approvals needed to complete the work. Delays on your side may shift deadlines.

Payment

Projects are typically billed as custom quotes with a deposit due before development starts, with remaining balances due on agreed milestones or on delivery. Recurring or retainer work is invoiced on the schedule we set. Invoices are payable upon receipt unless otherwise stated. Work may pause if payment is overdue.

Intellectual property

After full payment, you own the deliverables created specifically for your project, excluding third-party tools, open-source libraries, stock assets, and reusable frameworks or methods I bring from prior work. I may showcase non-confidential work in my portfolio unless we agree otherwise.

Warranties and limits

Services are provided professionally and in good faith. Unless separately agreed in writing, work is delivered “as is” after acceptance. I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability for a project is limited to fees you paid for that project.

Cancellation

Either party may end a project with written notice. Fees for work completed (and non-refundable third-party costs) remain due. Deposit and refund details are covered in the Refund Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
